UAW: You Just had to spoil our Happy Auto Bailout Day

Leave it to Good Ole’ Mr Gettlefinger of the UAW to ruin the day that almost all of Southeastern Michiganians were crossing our fingers, clicking our heals and collectively holding our breaths for. He couldn’t just shut up and let the day pass.  No He had to threaten to not honor the conditions of the Undeserved Gift the tax payers so reluctantly have offered the Auto makers.

Mr. Gettlefinger says he and his Comrades at the UAW have no interest in the Bail Out condition that by the END of 2009 they need to accept wages and benefits that are relatively competitive to the gainfully employed workers of the foreign transplant auto companies manufacturing their cars within our boarders. Mr. Gettlefinger informs us that he will wait to deal with Obama.  Of course he will.  After all, what in the world did the union workers all across America expect for their over 1 Billion dollars invested in getting their Democrats elected? It was for the expected payback by these Democrats  forcing the  Manufacturers to honor the asinine and debilitating labor contracts.

Okay, Okay, now I am just Ranting.

Bottom line: The UAW labor contract IS what destroyed the industry.  Now don’t get me wrong, I do not blame the Unions. They did one hell of a job negotiating for their comrades.  It was an extremely short sighted  “as long as we get ours too” attitude of the Past Management Teams that agreed to these disastrous agreements.

But this ain’t Kansas anymore Toto. These contracts, mostly benefits, are not sustainable. It simply does not mater what the out-dated Labor Agreements say.

We hear you……, if a job does not pay you enough to feed yourself and family, you wont work. …..We get it. 

But if it cost too much to build cars and sell them at a profit, management wont build them.  Regardless of what Czar Gettlefinger wants.

Mr. Gettlefinger, draw that line in the sand at your own peril.  You and your Comrades are wearing on us all just a little too thin.

Clinton for Sec of State is Unconstitutional

FYI:  No Senator or Congressman (person) is eligible for any cabinet post if during their time in the congress they were involved in a vote that increased the salary of said cabinet position.

Look it up: It is in Article One of the constitution. (See Below)

Hillary voted to increase the salary a couple of years ago.

Don’t get mad at me….I’m just saying

All you Hillary haters don’t hold your breath…..Taft, Nixon and Carter all got around this by reducing the salary of the appointee to the lower salary level prior to the increase before the vote. 

Hillary taking a pay cut….this should be interesting.

Article One, Section Six of the U.S. Constitution says:

No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office.

Thanksgiving. Nothing to do with Indians and Pilgrims

The USA was founded to be a Christian Nation, and Thanksgiving was initiated to be a day of prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ.  Can anyone honestly and or intellectually claim, after reading the Thanksgiving Proclamation by our first president George Washington, that our Nation was intended to be a secular Nation?  I argue: Not a Chance.

I fear for this Nation too

I fear the BO Presidency because of his total lack of experience and failure to have ever accomplished a single thing in his career other than the winning of elections. With all the trials and tribulations the Nation is going through now and heading into in the very near future, now was not the time to throw a rookie into the game.  CHANGE we will certainly have. My fear is that Obama’s CHANGE will be nothing more than “Stepping on the Gas” and speeding us into “Mammoth Government” in lieu of “W’’s gradual slow Sunday  drive into this impending financial and social disaster.

But more so, I fear him because of his ultra Liberal and Radical affiliations which are now political debts. These debts will all come due very soon. (The appointment of the Pit Bull with NO lipstick to his Chief of Staff is a clear indication)   

Ultimately and the most frightening result of this election will be BO’s ultra liberal judicial nominations and subsequent confirmation by the now hard left congress. This is why I fear for this country.

I will pray for President Obama. Mostly for a change in his heart.  

I truly wish him and our country well.

Flag Pin, Ted Kennedy, Obama, OPEC and other stuff

Just a few random thoughts:

• I rarely, if ever, have agreed with anything that Ted Kennedy has said or supported. But that being said, I read an on line article today about TK’s health and condition.  I was shocked and dismayed at the numerous hate-filled and venomous comments posted by obviously my fellow right-wingers.  I am ashamed of and disgusted with these people.  They are the worst we have to offer. Now, or ever, is not the time to kick TK or his family.  My God, he is a fellow human being, liberal no doubt, but first and foremost a fellow man.  Who cares about his liberal opinions etc? Now is time for prayer and compassion, not just for TK but his family as well.  I will pray for him and them, as well as hope and pray that TK accept Jesus Christ as his savior if he hasn’t already.
• Knock it off already with the Flag Pin thing.  I do not give a Rat’s Rear if Obama, McCain or anybody wear a Flag Pin.  I care about Obama’s thoughts, values, Votes and Character. All of which scare the hell out of me.  Personally I am extremely fearful that Obama is going to win this thing ( the General Election, not the primary, he already has won that.) I fear for my Country.  I care a whole lot more about Obama’s court appointments, then how or when he will get us out of Iraq. Which by the way, he will not do much significantly different about Iraq than McCain, or Bush for that matter.  Whomever  wins in November, will be compelled to listen and respond to the military advisers and the conditions on the ground and act accordingly.  By the way I would much rather see a Right to Life bumper sticker on Obama’s motorcade SUV’s than a flag pin on his lapel.
• Obama’s wife is a fair Target. Due to her own words on the campaign trail she is open to severe scrutiny and criticism.  If you don’t want  your wife to get beat up by the opposition or press, sit her down and shut her up.  Grow Up Obamas!  This is the Big Leagues, everyone knows there is no crying in Baseball or Presidential politics. 
• I hope we , as a people, and our Government leaders never EVER forget that in early 2008 when our leader went to OPEC and asked for a little help for the good guys at the oil pump, they spit in our faces. The next time the Saudi Royal Family, and their ilk, find a brutal local mad-man dictator mounting troops and weapons on their borders, threatening God only knows what kind of horror, DON’T CALL US!

Obama is backing up the bus

Obama not only threw his Pastor under a moving Bus today, he jumped in the drivers seat and backed up over him. He needed to do this a long time ago. By the way, wasn’t it only like 30 days ago that B.O. said he could no more separate himself from his Pastor than he could his Grandmother?

We, as a nation, still have absolutely no idea what this Guy is all about. Quite frankly, I think Obama has no firm convictions nor any deeply held principles. He will say anything to anyone at anytime if he thinks it will fit the situation.  He is a minor league Double AA bench sitter that somehow has finagled his way in to the Bigs.  And that is dangerous.

I sure hope the Democrats know what they are doing.  It appears there will be a 50/50 chance we will all have to pay for their idiocy if they don’t.

Obama’s Wright is All Wrong

It is official, Obama either throws this man under the bus and completely separates and disowns the absolutely “off his rocker” Pastor or the Obama goose is most certainly cooked. 

I suggest BO do this sooner rather than latter…..or not……after all….Viva McCain!

Detroit and its surrounding suburbs

Everything you read and hear about the horrible economy in Detroit, the distress everyone is in and just how bad everything is here…….. it is all categorically untrue………the fact  is……it is MUCH WORSE

Racist claiming Racism….MSNBC at it again!

Well, just when I thought I could take a break and relax a bit, Obama Slappy, Chris Mathews, host of Hardball on the MSNOBAMA network, and all his Liberal Slappies, are hung up on those pesky racist white people again.

Evidently, when 75% of white people over the age of 34 vote for Hillary…it is racism, or at a minimum a racist inspired vote.

But, when 95% of African Americans vote for Obama…it is just peachy keen and certainly not racist or racism.

I don’t get it. No wait, yes I do…….it was on MSNOBAMA, Mathews et al…….Never Mind.

Freedom is not Free. Is it?

Needless to say, anyone who shows even the slightest interest in the politics of our nation probably feels as bombarded with partisan knuckleheadery as I do; especially as of late due to the level of hyperbole being turned up a notch with the testimony of General Petraeus.

 

Now, admittedly I am a conservative; not a knuckle dragging nut by any sense of the word, but definitely right of the center on most issues. I try to evenly watch all three; RepubliFox, The Clinton News Network and MSNObama.  In doing so, I find myself shaking my head in amazement at the unbalanced “reporting” by all three, however I must admit, my neck always seems to be much more fatigued after a dose of the MSNObama network.

 

Anyway, back to General Petraeus, and the nut jobs that either heckle him from the peanut gallery or the partisan-blinder-wearing Talking Heads that seem to think they know more about warfare strategy, troop deployment requirements and planning than the General. All this has reminded me of thoughts that I have had beginning years ago.  It does not take a PHD in world history to understand that from the beginning of time there has been almost no other nation or empire that has allowed free speech, freedom of worship, land ownership and protected property rights, Government of the people, by the people, for the people, etc……….anyway, you get my point.  Actually almost all of world history is dominated by Totalitarianism, Dictatorships, Monarchy, etc, ruled by viscous self-centered tyrants.  A very large percentage of recorded time finds these Nations, Kingdoms and Empires at war with each other or at least in some state of monolithic brutal expansionism.

 

Now, please don’t yet insert your opinion of my opinion here.  I no longer know how I feel about the Iraq war. I certainly give our President the benefit of the doubt. Although I supported the war/invasion in the beginning,  I don’t know what should be done about it now.  I too want our troops home as much as anyone. I pray for our troops and their families.  I pray for our leaders, both Civilian and Military.  I pray that God blesses them with his wisdom to fulfill his plans.

 

I simply do not believe that if we just stick our heads in the sand, and go back to pre-WW II isolationism, that we, and our freedoms and lifestyles, will not be attacked again and again just for being us; a nation founded and sustained on the rule of Judeo-Christian laws and principles.

 

This just makes me wonder, with world history being as it is, how do the anti military far left liberals come to their conclusions that “Making Love, Not War,” regardless if it be a reactionary war or a preventative war, will result in the never-ever seen in world history Isolated peace?
